Monica Gilfillan, M.S.Ed., is a lifelong educator, activist for education reform, and student of life. She began her career as a teacher and learning specialist, responsible for utilizing technology to differentiate instruction to individualize student education plans, and for creating and managing an academic resource center to meet the needs of students struggling with reading and writing in content areas. After five years in the classroom, Monica transitioned her passion for technology in education to become a curriculum specialist, consultant, and account executive for online education. Her responsibilities included traveling the U.S. extensively to ensure strong partnerships with clients through consultations and the delivery of presentations, software demos, and in-service training. Monica joined the Edgenuity team in 2012 and continues to excel in building and maintaining successful educational partnerships with districts across Arizona and Nevada. Her key roles include the management of implementations to ensure effectiveness, building and strengthening relationships with clients, and maintaining open communication with clients to ensure program success. Monica is an ABEC (Arizona Business and Education Collation) and PV Schools Education Foundation board member. She has a Master of Science in special education from Dominican University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and history from Indiana University.
