Amanda grew up in the Pacific Northwest, attended high school in Virginia, and then returned to the west coast, where she graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.A. in English. She earned a Masters of Education from Pacific University before moving to San Francisco, where she taught high school and 8th grade. She is passionate about equity in education and loves being in a role that helps support teachers.

Amanda is from Texas, where she graduated from the Texas Woman's University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She also earned a Masters of Educational Administration degree from LeTourneau University. Amanda has taught elementary school in Texas and North Carolina and also has experience with middle school. She spent a few years as a district Instructional Technology Specialist helping teachers and administrators integrate technology throughout their campuses. She is passionate about the role technology plays in education and loves being in a position that helps support teachers.

About the Speaker

Betsy grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana earning her degree from Louisiana State University. She taught school and was a library media specialist in the Baton Rouge area for 20 years before moving on to educational consulting. Betsy has been an educational consultant since 2013, with a focus on digital literacy, pedagogy, PBL, and STEM education. She is passionate about innovative education and loves being in a role that helps support teachers and grow future leaders.

Daniel J. Budzinski is an entrepreneur of several innovative tech companies and founder of Purpose Prep, a premier social and emotional learning content and solution provider serving students in grades Pk–12. As a prior board member of multiple charter schools in Detroit, Michigan, Daniel has always had a passion to help learners grow. He is the author of the Purpose Workbook and hosts The Dreamcast, The Art of Success and Emotional Intelligence Podcast. About the Speaker

Deborah started her career in education as a fifth-grade classroom teacher in Westfield, New Jersey. When she moved to New York City, where she still lives, she moved into various roles in educational publishing and educational technology at organizations like the New York Times Learning Network, Kaplan K–12 Learning Services, and Scholastic, before joining Edgenuity in 2011. Deborah holds a B.A. in Child Development from Tufts University and a Masters in Mathematics Education from Rutgers University.

  

Grace Delgado

About the Speaker

Grace Delgado was born in Key West and grew up in Miami. A true Florida girl, she attended high school in Jacksonville, college in Gainesville, and now resides in Tampa. Grace holds a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Business from the University of Florida and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been in education since 1998 and in educational technology since 2008 as a teacher, administrator, implementation consultant, and trainer. As a teacher, Grace worked with students from ages three through college level and taught in both traditional and virtual classrooms. Grace enjoys her current role as a presenter for Edgenuity, where she can demonstrate a passion for learning with her professional and compelling style.

  

Jennifer Gaulier

About the Speaker

Jennifer Gaulier has been a teacher, teacher leader, and served in various other roles in both the brick and mortar and online educational settings for over 17 years. She graduated from the University of North Florida in 2003 with a BAE in Social Sciences Education, Grades 6–12, holds an NBPTS certificate in Social Studies – History/Early Adolescence, as well as a K–12 Gifted Endorsement and ESOL Endorsement in the state of Florida. She joined Edgenuity in 2019 as a member of the Special Education Services Team. She is honored to be part of such a wonderful group of educators who are passionate about serving students of all learning styles and who strive to meet their individual needs.

  

John Watson

John Watson is the founder of the Evergreen Education Group, which has studied K–12 online, blended, and hybrid learning for twenty years.  Evergreen organizes the Digital Learning Collaborative, a membership group made up of schools, NGOs, state agencies, and providers, and the DLC's main event, the Digital Learning Annual Conference. John is responsible for conducting, writing, and presenting research as well as providing testimony on digital learning matters to state boards of education, legislatures, and charter school commissions. He has extensive knowledge and experience based on his two decades working in online learning and education technology. This background has afforded him a wide-reaching network across the spectrum of education professionals, policymakers, and subject matter experts as well as the ability to provide insightful, dimensional analysis and recommendations.

  

Kimberlin Rivers

Kimberlin Rivers has a rich mixture of logistics, business management, and educational experience as a teacher, school improvement specialist, and K–12 administrator. Kimberlin is licensed as a teacher, principal, and superintendent in the state of Virginia, and also holds a BS in Organizational Management and Development, a Masters of Education in Educational Technology, a Post Master’s Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, and is now in the final stages of her doctoral degree. She recognizes the essential role technology plays in academics, and is pleased to assist educators in implementing key tools to meet their needs.

About the Speaker

Mary grew up in Southern California and was raised by a family of educators. She earned a bachelor’s degree and bilingual teaching credential from San Diego State University. Certified to teach secondary English Language Arts, Spanish, and English as a Second Language,  Mary began teaching public high school in California before moving to Austin, Texas, to continue her twelve-year tenure. She then worked in the private sector and took on administrative responsibilities before moving into the educational technology space, joining CompassLearning in 2011. Mary is excited to be a part of the professional learning team so she can expand her impact in helping schools, educators, and students on a larger scale.

Megan grew up in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Business and Education. She then began her work in administration, serving the divisions of elementary and secondary education for over 20 years. Michelle Mittler

Michelle has professional experience in research and development, pharmaceuticals, engineering, and scientific and educational consulting. She holds two master's degrees, one in public health/epidemiology and the other in education. She participates in various organizations, including the American Chemical Society, American Statistical Society, Scientists without Borders, Kappa Delta Pi, and the International Society of Infectious Disease. She is an avid reader and coffee consumer and enjoys going for walks, kickboxing, water sports, and rock climbing. Monica Winegarden

Monica is a Florida native who earned her degree in Social Science Secondary Education from the University of North Florida. She has been in the field of education since 2004, teaching special education, ESOL, and social studies. Monica currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida, with her husband, daughter, and dog.

Stuart hails from the frozen Midwest and loves calling Arizona home now. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in English before joining the Teach For America 2012 corps. He completed a Master's degree in Special Education at Arizona State University while teaching full-time as a special education teacher at the elementary and middle school levels. After four years of teaching, Stuart transitioned into edtech. He is thrilled to continue working alongside outstanding educators and students. 

  

Virginia Anderson

About the Speaker

Virginia Anderson taught for eleven years as a special education teacher, primarily supporting students from underrepresented populations, before joining Edgenuity two years ago.  She holds a master’s degree in Comprehensive Education/Special Education/Learning Disabilities and Intellectual Disabilities with North Carolina Teaching Certifications in various areas.  When I am not supporting districts, schools, and other academic programs with Edgenuity, I tend to my small chicken flock, continue to restore my 120-year-old home,  and host an ever-changing AirBnB guest list.
